FINE ART REPRODUCTION
We print with the Epson 9800 on fine art
papers, photo papers, and canvas using the Imageprint RIP for precise
color control.
Our scanner is the Creo IQSmart3, a high-end flatbed that can pull
enough detail out of a transparency to print 16" x 20" from a 35mm
slide, or 40" x 60" from a 4x5. The large bed can directly scan smaller
originals—up to 18" x 22" in two sections—saving photography costs.
For larger image capture we work with Benjamin
Blackwell, staff photographer for the UC Berkley Art Museum /
Pacific Film Archive. Benjamin operates a studio from the museum using
the latest Betterlight digital back.
